This week, I’ve been thinking about something simple but uncomfortable.
Not everything deserves your energy.
For a long time, I thought being kind meant always being available. Always explaining. Always giving people access to my time and emotions.
But that version of me was always tired.
Growth doesn’t just require effort. It requires protection.
If you’re working on your faith… your mindset… your healing… your discipline… you cannot give unlimited access to people who constantly drain you.
Peace is not selfish.
It’s responsibility.
You can love people and still set limits.
You can forgive and still create space.
You can care and still say no.
That’s not coldness. That’s clarity.
This week, instead of asking why people don’t understand me, I asked myself why I keep over-explaining.
That small shift changes everything.
You don’t have to announce your boundaries.
You just have to honor them.
